The Nigeria Police is set to further recognize and reward excellent performances of its operatives as the Ogun State Police Command commenced activities for its Maiden National Police Day.
The programmes conceived to commemorate the National Police Day has been scheduled for 7th April 2025 in line with the declaration by Inspector Generrsl of Police,IGP Kayode Egbetokun, following the presidential directive to establish an annual National Police Day in recognition of the invaluable contributions and commitment of our officers to nation building.
According to a statement from the office of the Spokesperson person of the State Command, CSP Omolola Odutola, on Wednesday,2nd April 2025, the flag off of the re-constructed POWA Acquisition Skills Centre took place at the Command headquarters, Eleweran. While a town Hall Meeting with critical Stakeholders on challenges and collective solution to security is slated for Thursday, April 3rd.
Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers will interface with the public on the importance of National Police Day on Friday, 4th of April,while a free medical services for community members to enhance public health, and a Sanitisation and cleanup of public spaces are slated for Saturday, 5th April, 2025.
Odutola stated that the Command would use the opportunity to strengthen collaborations with the communities so as to engender public trust through Police Public engagement.
