All agog as Keesan Orile celebrates Day

 




...  Youth forum appreciates High Chief Adeyemi with Award


The maxim that when a visionary leader reigns, the people rejoice as they witness even development.

This aptly described the atmosphere of Keesan Orile town in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State on Saturday when  sons and daughters ,both home and  overseas joined their  Traditional Head, High Chief Waheed Abodunrin Adeyemi in celebrating Keesan Orile day 2025,held at St.James RCM Primary school Playing Ground.





As early as 7am, the town came alive as flows of joy and happiness radiated on the faces of the people and in all the compounds and households in Keesan Orile.

The Day which was combined with the launching of a #50 million fund for ongoing electrification project in the town, witnessed massive turnout of people that showed the unity among the indigenes of Keesan Orile town, the love, loyalty and confidence they reposed in the new Traditional Head who ascended the stool five months ago.








In his welcome address,  the Chairman of the Keesan Orile Day 2025, Chief  kola Adeleye gave gratitude to God for sparing everyone's  life to witness the day.




Adeleye, a renown broadcaster, disclosed that the event was initiated and successfully carried out within 3 months.

He stated the he was marvelled by the level of cooperation and supports of the people both at home and diaspora, adding that he was almost moved to tears seeing the mammoth turnout of indigenes of the town.

The renown broadcaster who also thanked Youth of Keesan Orile for their efforts in making  the day a reality, commended High Chief Waheed Abodunrin Adeyemi  for his unwavering love, dedication and commitment to the development and progress of Keesan Orile town. Adeleye also thanked the chiefs in council for their support at seeing that the town becomes a place where all and sundry would be proud to be called an indigene of Keesan Orile.

Speaking, Baale Adeyemi Stated that the need to further strengthen unity, fast track progress and development of the town   prompted the re- initiation of the celebration.





" The need to see the coming together of every son and daughter of this noble town to further strengthen our oneness and see to the development and progress of our town, Keesan is ours and we must all come together to uplift it.

"The electrification project we have embarked upon by the grace of God and support of yours and others well- meaning people would become a reality very  soon.

" I want to once again urged all us to continue in this laudable steps, as it through this that Government too will come to our aid, seeing our efforts  towards enhancing Health care and comfortable life for the people of Keesan Orile town and its environs".

In his remarks, the Royal father of the day, Omala of Imala, Oba Moses Adeboyega Adelani Olabode commended Baale Adeyemi, the chiefs, youths and organisers of the event.

Oba Olabode, who was represented by High Chief Olawore Abolade Samson urged the people of the town to continue to cooperate with the new traditional head as his reign has brought forth laudable and impactful turnaround to the town. The monarch described Baale Adeyemi as a selfless leader whose well- being of his people is paramount in his heart.






Highlights of the event were paying of Homage by people of all the compounds and quarters, presentation of award by Keesan Youths to the Traditional Head,  unveiling of Keesan anthem composed by former Deputy Registrar  of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro,Chief John Olaogun, cultural dance, installation and presentation of certificates to new chiefs.
