Amosun mourns Ogun veteran journalist, Charles Gyamfi

 




..... sends delegation to commiserate with the family



Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has commiserated with the family of the late veteran journalist, Charles Coffie Gyamfi in Abeokuta, the State capital. 



Amosun who sent a delegation to pay a condolence visit to the family of the deceased journalist in Abeokuta, described Gyamfi as a thorough bred professional who represented Guardian Newspaper credibly.  


The former Governor's delegation led by his media aide, Alhaji Bola Adeyemi was received by the Son of the deceased, Stephen Gyamfi at the Mercy road residence, Abeokuta of the late media practitioner.


While sympathizing with the family over the demise of their patriarch, Adeyemi said late Ogun State Correspondent of The Guardian was a friend of Senator Amosun.


He said Senator Amosun despite out of the country, directed his aides to visit the family in order to pay condolence to the family before burial.


Adeyemi said "Your husband has been a friend of the house for a while, we have been together from inception and we have done a lot of things together.


When this occurred, His Excellency was not around, he got informed of it even as we speak he is not around but directed that before his funeral we must register our condolence". 


He said "We are here on behalf of Senator Ibikunle Amosun to pay condolence to the family, to wish the family well and to pray to the Almighty to console you as well as for repose of your father and husband".


Responding, Stephen Gyamfi thanked the former Governor for the kind gesture, saying truly Senator Amosun was his late father friend and his father hold him in high esteem.


He also appreciated the delegation visiting and praying for the family despite the heavy downpour.
