The Champion of the Third Edition of Ogun State Sports Writers Association/Value jet Security Cup, Police Machine has secured the Final Ticket for this year edition of the tournament as they defeated the Civil defenders via penalties after 2-2 draw at full time.
In the first semi- final match,Customs football club outshined Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) football Team with 2 goals to nothing.

The first match played between the Customs fc and EFCC fc, Customs fc defeated Econofinancial Crimes fighters 2-0 after a long and thrilling encounter where both teams displayed impressive skills and determination. Customs fc netted 2 goals in the second half, the first goal scored by Daniel Abomafon, jersey number 18 12minutes into the second half, while the second goal was scored by Mayowa Abogunrin, jersey number 11, 2 minutes after the first goal.
The second match was a very tough one, where the Police fc played against the NSCDC fc. The first half and second half was a tie as where both teams played to a draw in both halves leaving them at 1-1 during the first half and 2-2 during the second half.
Both halves of the match witnessed a battle for supremacy as both teams displayed their impressive skills. The first goal was scored by the NSCDC fc 15 minutes into first half after a counter attack against their opponent, while their opponent, Police fc got the equaliser five minutes after the first goal from the Civil defenders with a penalty awarded to their player, number 12 after he was brought down in the Box 18.
The second goals were scored in the second half where both teams scored one goal each leaving them in a draw (2-2) for the entire match leading to penalty shootout.
The penalty shootout was won by the Police Machine netting 4 goals,while the Civil defenders scored two penalties ;4-2, with 6-4 goals aggregates.
The third place match is slated for 1pm and final at 3pm come up on Monday(tomorrow) at the same venue.
