Claressa Shields and Vanessa Lepage- Joanisse are set to trade punches for the World Boxing Council (WBC)Women Heavyweight Belt.
Speaking with journalists ahead of the scheduled bout, Claressa Shields said "I want to go down in history as the 'Beyonce of Boxing', the 'Serena Williams of Boxing”
She will be moving up 2 weigh classes to fight next for the WBC Women's Heavyweight World Champion .
The bout is slated for Saturday July 27th, 2024 at Little Caesar’s Arena in Downtown Detroit.
