Eagle eyes community members nab two burglars in Ogun

 






Nemesis caught with two notorious burglars who have been  burgling shops breaking homes, cutting  windows net at mid -nite stealing properties,gas cylinders, phones in Ijeja, Omida,ibara axis of Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State. 

The two burglars, Josiah Okoi Ofem, and a fair complexion, one eyed guy named Godbless Udem ,  are  indigenes of Cross-Rivers State.

Earlier on Sunday,around 5am,one of duo was accosted around Ishaga mosque,,omida,carting a white sack while returning from Omida market where they burgled  provision shops stealing crates of eggs, pepsodents,,Goldberg cans, Pampers Solar fans,packs of sachet gins among other stolen items.




Eye witness accounts  revealed that upon being accosted, Josiah Okoi Efem popularly known as odogwu could not give answers to how he came about the sack with him.

He ran away. However, the vigilance of the community members paid off,when his accomplice,Goddey( one eyed guy) was spotted with a sack few minutes after Odogwu was accosted at Ishaga area.

 He engaged in fist cuff with his challengers  as he attempted to quickly ran into Odogwu's room through the back door of the house situated along Sekoni Street,Ijeja. His challengers  wrestled the sack the from the one-'eyed burglar('Goddey) before he ran away.

The swift action of youths in the area paid off as they went to the residence of the Goddey to search for the two burglars .



At the Okepa residence  of Godbless Udem,(one eyed guy),Josiah Okoi Ofem was caught hiding inside the ceiling.

Josiah:popularly known as Odogwu was the first to be nabbed inside the ceiling broken by the duo. He hinted the youths that Goddey was also inside the ceiling .

When asked what job,the one eyed guy doing,he claimed to be a Puff seller at Obantoko,while Odogwu is known in Ijeja area as an Okrika shirts seller.

Operatives of the So-:Safe Corps that took custody of the notorious burglars  later handed the duo over to  the Police at Ibara.

Owners of the burgled shops from Omida market were at Ibara Police Station to identify their goods moments after some of the stolen items were recovered  in Josiah Okoi efem's room in a big Ghana Must go bag.

Odogwu claimed that he had bought some of the items for his pregnant wife.

Meanwhile,further investigation is ongoing as the two are now detained at the Ibara Police Station.
