Hundreds of protesters under the aegis of the “Take It Back Movement” on Monday took to the streets of Lagos State to protest against hunger, increasing price of food and the high cost of living in the country.
The protesters, armed with placards bearing various inscriptions were seen around the Ojuelegba Underbridge area of Lagos as they lamented the hardship and economic challenges in the country.
The protesters blamed the present government led by President Bola Tinubu for impoverishing Nigerians through its policies, saying Nigerians are getting poorer on daily basis.
Recall that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, on Sunday issued a warning to the organizer of the protest to shelve the idea.
