The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Lagos Chapter has regained freedom from Kidnappers den.
Philip Aivoji was abducted by some yet-to-identified gunmen along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.Ogere Axis.
Aivoji was released four days after he was abducted on Thursday.
Aivoji and some other party chieftains were abducted at the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday while returning from the party’s Stakeholders’ Zonal Caucus meeting convened by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and held in Ibadan, the state capital.
According to a Press Release from the office of the Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Public Relations Officer,SP Omolola Odutola this morning.
The statement read "The efforts of Ogun State Police Command paid off as Hon Philip Aivoji (Lagos State PDP Chairman) has finally been released early this morning by the gang of the kidnappers who held him captive.
"The victim has been reunited with his family. Meanwhile, efforts is on top gear to track down the hoodlums".
