Committed to the welfare and well-being of the citizenry, the Ogun State Government has promised that it will continue to support the less privileged and downtrodden in society to make more life bearable for them.
The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, made this known at Ijebu-Igbo while presenting a cheque of N1million to Mr. Tajudeen Tijani, for his medical expenses.
Presenting the cheque on behalf of the Governor, Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Alhaji Ademola Balogun, said the present administration is concerned about the wellness of the people, particularly the needy who might not have the ability to afford medical bills for their treatment.
According to him, “I want to assure you all that aside from the cheque being presented today, the present administration will not rest on its oars at rendering other technical assistance where necessary to Mr. Tajudeen Tijani, and more so, we are going to open more channels of support for the less privileged and the needy across the state’’.
Responding, the recipient, Mr. Tijani appreciated the state government for the kind gesture and promised that he would make use of the money for the purpose it meant for, he prayed for the success of the present administration.
