The Lord Bishop of Cathedral Apostolic church, Dr. Ezekiel Olukunke has admonished parents not to over indulge their children in providing for their needs.

The Cleric gave the advice recently in an interview with National Standard Television, NSTV Media Team at his office in Owode,Egba, Ogun State.

Bishop Olukunke, who is the National President of Supreme Justice of Peace, identified over indulgence on the part of parents as one of the factors contributing to crime in the society as an over pampered child who has been used to excessive indulgence and provision might take to crime and other vices when such luxuries diminished or no longer affordable by the parents.

He, therefore, implored parents to always provide within their means, so as not to expose their wards to future dangers.

"As parents, do we have to give our children what they asked fot or what we have? Many Parents do give to their children what they cannot afford so that the children won't be recalcitrant. Let look at those who have children in higher Institutions. I do preach it on the Altar, that it is not all what a child asked for should be given to him or her? and this exact issue  happened in my household .

I was in my room and my wife and children were in the other room, I overheard my wife telling my children that "  is that sermon that your father had just preached?  And I tell them that, what I am saying, before I die, you will all understand and my wife has started understanding it in her lifetime.

For example, a son or daughter in school. The school fees is #10 and you don't want him or her  to be recalcitrant and you are giving him #50.  You have exposed him to money, he is not to be spending ".

Bishop Olukunke, who is also the National Co-ordinator for Ooni Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi Peace Foundation, OPM, added that through his office as  human rights activist and Peace advocate, lots of societal problems such as marital issues, unlawful arrest and detention of established innocent victims have been resolved.

The Cleric, while expressing gratitude to the NSTV team for the visit, pledged his s readiness to work with NSTV in all areas that will enhance growth of the organization as well as peace in the society.

During the visit, Bishop Olukunke honoured  NSTV Chief Operating officer, Dele Ayodo as  Ambassador of OPM, Idris Oderinde, lanre Adegboyega and Lekan Lisoye as members of the Supreme Justice of Peace.
