Ogun Amotekun has arrested two notorious okada thieves who have been unleashing financial loss on the people of ilara, ketu, Imeko aAfon Local Government.area of Ogun state.
Tunde Sobiye, 20 years and Monday Daniel, 22years old were arrested by the Amotekun Operatives on the 23th September,2023 while they were negotiating to sell another stolen TVS with registration no WDE 355YR to Scanvegers at Saje Abeokuta.
Tunde, who confessed their modus operandi while fielding questions from Journalists said they have been in the notorious crimes for the past one years.
He confessed that they usually sell the stolen okada between #70,000 and #150,000 , while the stolen generators were sold at #30000.
Two of the stolen generators was also recovered from the duo.
Sobiye and Daniel confessed that the motorcycle stolen made it seven and many generations that they had stolen n ilara axis within twelve months that they have started the crime.
The 2ic of the Amotekun in Ogun state,Aina Oluwakayode hinted that the two suspects have been taken to the State Police Headquarters, Eleweran for further investigation that will lead the to arrest of the buyers of the stolen items from the two suspects.
He added that the stage of the arrest by Amotekun Operatives would assist the Police to nab the buyers of the stolen items.
