..six councillors suspend Ijebu East LG Boss for three months over 15 allegations
The Department of State Security has invited the Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Hon. Adewale Adedayo, over allegation of withholding of local government funds by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Newslife Online recalls that Adedayo had written to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Aremo Olusegun Osoba and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission( EFCC), over alleged zero allocation to the 20 council areas in the state since 2021.
While the Governor held a meeting with 18 of the Local Government chairmen on Tuesday at the Governor's office, oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, where they tendered apology to Gov.Dapo Abiodun.
When contacted on phone, Adedayo, confirmed the invitation from the DSS and that he was on his way to Abeokuta, to honour them.
The LG boss also hinted that his local government had been invaded by mobile policemen.
Adedayo in a Facebook post said, "invading peaceful Ogbere community with mobile policemen in order to impeach Wale Adedayo is desperation. As I told the SSG yesterday, we took an oath with our fathers that that we'll make this land better than we met it. You can kill the body, but not the spirit of Wale Adedayo."
