As the effect of the letter written by one of the Local Government chairmen in Ogun state in connection with alleged shortchanging of allocations to the third tier of Government by Gov.Dapo Abiodun begin to attract reactions and counter reactions, a seemingly peace meeting to douse tension is now on going at the Seat of Power, Governor's Office, oke -mosan, Abeokuta
Indication to this surfaces today around 3;49pm, when all the 20 Local Government chairmen in the state arrived together at the governor's and moved to the Press Centre to await the arrival of the governor.
Barely some few minutes after their arrival, government delegation led by the Secretary to the state government .Mr.tokunbo Talabi, Commissioner Designate,Mr Dapo .Okubadejo, Deputy chief of Staff, Mr.Emmanuel Taiwo and some Permanent Secretaries also arrived and went in to meet the LG chairmen.
Earlier, the chairmen had moved in twos and threes into the Press Centre, while the writer of the letter, the chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Hon.Wale Adedayo walked in alone into the centre.
As at the time of filling in this report, the chairmen are still waiting for the arrival of the governor while discussion has been going on between the chairmen and government delegation.
The Governor, who is expected be at the meeting is engaged in another crucial meeting with the state legislators.
