A Chartered Accountant and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria,ICAN, Chief Olaniyi Olagoke, has joined other well meaning Nigerians to mourn the passage of the late founder of FCMB,Subomi Balogun..
Olagoke who described the late iconic Banker as his boss, mentor and banking father stated in his message of condolences
"May the soul of my Boss, my Mentor and my Banking Father rest in perfect peace. Baba Subomi Balogun was a huge icon in the Banking Sector. In fact, majority of 'who is who' in that sector today could be regarded as his boys as he was the first indigenous person to obtain a Banking licence for a Merchant Bank in mid 80's.
" His humanitarian and philanthropic services, both to his immediate community in Ijebu land and the society at large, are immeasurable. These include Scholarships, Hospital Development, Community Welfare supports, Educational supports to Higher Institutions etc. He came, he saw and he conquered by the grace of God Almighty.
"May the Almighty God forgive Baba Balogun all his sins and grant his soul eternal rest. May He comfort the family Baba left behind. Adieu Baba Subomi Balogun" .
