LAND ENCROACHMENT; OGUN NUJ BEMOANS ACTIVITIES OF LAND GRABBERS...As grabbers rented land to Auto mobile technicians,, threaten to kill, maim Nuj members

 The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, has called on security agencies in the state to arrest  two unscrupulous land speculators/ grabbers who encroached on the Council 's land and collecting rents on the land.

Addressing a World Press Conference on Wednesday at the Ogun Nuj Secretariat, Iwe- Irohin, Abeokuta, the chairman of the Council, Comrade Wale Olanrenwaju said the duo of  Prince Gbenga Olusoga  and   Engr.Lekan Banjoko have been laying claim to the Ogun NUJ  land situated behind the Providence Hotel, Leme axis, given to the Union by the State government years back.

Comr.Olanrewaju added that  the devilish land grabbers have rented the land to Auto mobile technicians and have been collecting rents as if they are the owners of the land.

He  added that during an inspection to the land by members of the executives, Prince Olusoga, who house was  directly opposite to the land, accosted them and threaten to kill and maim anybody that visit the land.

" This land has nothing to do with Prince Olusoga whose had not even be rich enough to think of  building a house in the axis when the land was allotted to Journalists in 1987 and the  C of O given by late Commodore(rtd) Mohammed Lawal's administration".

Comr.Olawale while giving a strong warning to the duo of Prince Gbenga Olusoga and Engr. Lekan Banjoko, said the unscrupulous land speculators should desist from fielding fat on the land.

" We call on government of Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, MFR, as the Chief Security Officer of the State, Commissioner of  Police, Director of Department of State Security, DSS, Commandant' of NSCDC, Commander, amotekun and other security agencies to rise up and avert the situation, call Prince Olusoga and Engr. Banjoko to order.

' They should  be warned because anytime from now we are going to unleash the power of the pen on them

"Prince Olusoga should desist from feeding fat on our land and we would like him to call on his boys to leave on our land and failure on their part to do this we want security operatives to arrest the renters".
