 LAGOS EHOAN DECIDES: AKINYELE EMERGES  NEW PRESIDENT

The Environmental health Officers Association of Nigeria,EHOAN,, an affiliate of International Federation of Enviromental Health (IFEH) Lagos chapter, has elected a new President.

He is Sanitarian. Dr. Babasope Cyril Akinyele.

Dr.Akinyele emerged at the  2023

Annual General Meeting of the Association after a keen contest held in Lagos.

The Senior Sanitarian officer is the current Head of Department, Environmental Health Services with the Primary Health Care Board, Yaba, lagos 

Akinyele,who is well known for his erudition, contributions to many health journals around the world is also an high chief of Ibogun Owu kingdom,in Ifo Local Government area of Ogun State.

The Aro of Ibogunland, who has served humanity and his communities in various capacity, was the former National Public Relations Officer of African Church Grammar School Old Students Association and Past Alumni President of Ogun State College of Health Technology, ilese-ijebu.

Delivering his address moment after being sworn in, Dr. Akinyele admonished all members to join hands together to build a strong Association where welfare of members and career progression will be of top priorities.

He thanked the Permanent Secreatry, Director of Environmental Health Services and Lagos State Government for the support given to the profession of Environmental Health in the service of Lagos State and as well urged the state government to employ more  Environmental Health officers in order to build on and strengthen the Theme agenda of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu in "making Lagos State a mega city of our dream"
